Meet Lorelle Demont Loomis, Certified Rolfer®

Lorelle received training through the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute®, the world’s leading school for Rolfing® Structural Integration. With a calm, grounded presence and a deep understanding of human structure, Lorelle brings both skill and compassion to her work.
Her approach blends precise fascial work with gentle movement education, helping clients address long-term patterns related to pain, posture, injury, and aging.

As a practitioner, Lorelle is known for being warm, attentive, and highly supportive—offering a space where clients feel heard, respected, and cared for.

Lorelle is passionate about her work:  helping clients reduce pain, improve posture, restore mobility, and reconnect with a sense of ease in their bodies.  Every session is grounded in respect and clear communication, with the intention of providing a healing experience tailored to your unique goals.

Philosophy

Part of Dr. Rolf’s genius was her recognition that we exist within earth’s gravitational field.  When the body is optimally aligned, gravity serves as a resource and support rather than a force against which the body expends energy to resist and remain upright.

Rolfing® Structural Integration is guided by this same fundamental premise.  Built on the science of fascia (link to About Fascia – Fascia Research Society), Rolfing considers the entire body as an interconnected system rather than focusing on areas that may be symptomatic.  Fascia surrounds and connects everything within the body, including muscles, bones, organs, nerves, arteries, veins, and the lymphatic system.  The fascia contains a variety of receptors and nerves, and healthy fascia is well-hydrated and constantly re-organizing itself in response to how the body is used.

Although the classic Ten Series offers a strategic and systematic approach to the human body, Lorelle customizes her approach by likening each client to an individual rose.  Every one has a unique composition, petal shape and colour, size and fragrance.  Just as a rose unfurls at its own pace, so too does a client during the Ten Series.  As the soft tissues of the body receive new input, holding patterns that are causing stress, discomfort and asymmetry emerge.  Layer by layer, the unfurling process continues even in the months following the conclusion of the Ten Series, as the client’s body integrates and organizes around the input it has received.

As such, each person will have a unique experience in a Rolfing® session.  The work will be tailored to the client as they present, and there can be no guarantees for specific outcomes.

How Rose Rolfing® began

Rose Rolfing® grew from Lorelle’s desire to help people feel better in their bodies, especially those who had tried other therapies without lasting relief. After experiencing the benefits of Rolfing® firsthand, she was inspired to study the modality and bring its benefits to her local community of White Rock/South Surrey.

The Rose Room

Rose Rolfing® operates from a warm, comfortable home studio, designed to help clients feel at ease the moment they arrive. The environment is quiet, welcoming, and relaxing—allowing the body to settle deeply into the work.

Many clients appreciate that the atmosphere feels more personal than a traditional clinic, while still maintaining the professionalism and standards of a certified practice.
